Lola’s Roundtable is a not-for-profit organization currently in the process of applying for Charitable Status with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Until this application is approved – a process that can take over a year and often involves an initial denial – we are unable to provide tax receipts for donations.
In the meantime, we have developed Sponsor Packages as an incentive to support our mission.
At Lola’s, we believe every member deserves the chance to be part of a community, to grow, and to enjoy meaningful activities every week. Families often face a funding gap that limits how often members can attend. Our Access Sponsorship Packages give you the opportunity to directly make a difference in a member’s life by helping them attend more days at Lola’s and experience the full benefit of our program.
At Lola’s, we want every member to have the opportunity to attend as often as they’d like. For some families, funding covers a good portion, but not all of a member’s weekly attendance. For others, members need to come more days each week but are limited by available funding.
Our Access Sponsorship Packages give you the chance to directly support members in two ways:
Every contribution goes directly to expanding access and making sure members can spend more time learning, connecting, and growing at Lola’s. Sponsors also receive a personalized letter from the member they helped, sharing the impact of their support.
Covers the remaining cost for one member to attend one day per week for a full year at Lola’s.
Provides one additional day per week for a member for one month – allowing them more time to connect, learn, and grow.

Your sponsorship helps members attend more days at Lola’s and fills the funding gap so they can participate fully. Every contribution goes directly to the member(s) you choose to support, and you’ll receive a personalized letter from the member you helped.
Our goal is to establish additional locations to provide greater support and accessibility across different areas. These new spaces would serve as central hubs for weekday respite and as meeting spots for programs like our summer youth initiative. Each location would be designed to foster skill development and independence, offering opportunities for participants to engage in activities such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry while building confidence and essential life skills. Expanding our locations will help us better serve families and individuals in need, creating more opportunities for growth and connection within the community.
Lola’s Roundtable offers a lunch program that provides our members with the opportunity to gain valuable life skills, including meal planning, shopping for ingredients, and preparing and cooking meals. The cost of groceries can add up quickly, and donations are essential to help us cover these expenses. Your support ensures that we can continue offering this hands-on learning experience, empowering our members to develop important skills for independence while enjoying nutritious meals.
Multiple vehicles (vans) will be required to run our programs as we continue to grow in group sizes. We will require vehicles for our pick up and drop off services as well as community activities. We also hope one day we will be able to provide an accessible van to accommodate different support requirements.
Lola’s Roundtable offers an activity program that allows us to cover the cost of all activities for our participants. This ensures that members, who often receive limited funding each year, can fully engage in our programs without financial barriers. By covering activity costs, we enable our members to use their funding for other essential opportunities. However, to keep this program running, we rely on donations from our community. Your support helps us continue providing these enriching experiences and ensuring accessibility for all.
Staff is what keeps Lola’s running and growing, without staff we would not be able to provide the programs offered to our members.
Over the next 10 years Lola’s will be working on ideas and ways to implement affordable and innovative living options for our members as well as members of our community. This will be our most costly service and our biggest goal to achieve.
