Who will benefit from Lola's?

Any adult looking for opportunities to be a part of their community and achieve meaning and purpose in their day as well as fostering new friendships will benefit from Lola’s programs.

How old does a member need to be?

  • 21+ for all respite programs
  • 16 – 20 for summer youth program

Who does Lola's serve?

  • Lola’s serves adults with disabilities 21+ all over Windsor-Essex County
  • Our summer your program serves youth 16 – 20 years old all over Windsor-Essex County

Does Lola's offer half days?

Lola’s does not offer half days. Families are welcome to drop off and pick up their family member for half days, however, the daily rate will not change.

Does Lola's offer one-on-one support?

Currently we do not offer one-on-one support.

Does Lola's offer extended hours?

Currently we do not offer extended hours.

Can I choose to only have the pick up option or the drop off option?

Yes. Pick up and drop off is offered at no extra cost and families can choose to opt out completely or use one option or the other, however, it will not change the daily rate.

Does Lola’s offer life skills?

Currently Lola’s unit does not allow us to work on life skills very much as it is very small, however, when possible Lola’s will try and outsource activities in the community to work on life skills. We hope to have a respite home one day where we can provide many opportunities to develop life skills.

What does it cost to come to Lola’s program?

We charge a daily rate for our respite program, however, we do not disclose our pricing online. We will discuss our program and pricing for serious inquiries only. Please fill out the application to receive more information.

How do I pay for Lola’s services?

Families can pay with passport funding or out of pocket.

What is passport funding?

Passport funding is a program funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and social services that provided adults 18 years or older with funding to pay for services and supports to participate in their community.

Is Lola’s Round Table accessible?

Currently Lola’s Round Table is not accessible. We also cannot provide proper supports for adults with complex needs. Make sure to keep checking in as Lola’s is working toward becoming more accessible and equipped to provide support for adults with complex needs.

Is Lola a charity?

No. Currently Lola’s is a Not-For-Profit. We can accept donations, but we cannot legally provide tax receipts until we are approved charitable status by CRA.
