WHO SAID YOU COULD LEAVE!?

Today was our goodbye party for Zak!

If you didn’t know, Zak has been a part of Lola’s for the last few years and has made a lasting impact on each and every one of us at Lola’s!

We are so grateful for our time with Zak and as it comes to an end this week we will hold on to the memories, laughter and experiences he brought to our crew and our team.

Zak will always be a part of our Lola family, and we wish him nothing but the very best in his next chapter!

Yesterday we were honoured to be presented with a $1,500 donation from Integrity Cares, a new initiative created by Integrity Tool and Mold Inc.

Launched in 2024, Integrity Cares was designed as a way for employees to give back by donating a portion of their paychecks, which is then pooled together and gifted to deserving local organizations in Windsor-Essex. This round, Lola’s was chosen as one of the recipients—and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Being thought of, chosen, and supported in this way truly means the world to us. Donations make a huge difference at Lola’s, as we don’t receive much outside funding. Every dollar goes directly into the programs that make Lola’s what it is:

Activity Program – We cover 100% of the cost of activities so families don’t have to worry about financial strain.

Cooking Program – We provide everything needed for our members to cook lunch together, turning mealtime into a life skills opportunity.

Driving Program – Transportation is a pillar of our services at Lola’s. Every day, our dedicated volunteer drivers provide a reliable pick-up and drop-off service that ensures members can get to and from Lola’s safely. Beyond that, we drive our members to all their daily activities throughout the community. To accommodate 12+ members each day, we rely on vans that we purchase outright and maintain ourselves—covering the full cost of vehicles, gas, and upkeep. This commitment makes Lola’s one of the most accessible programs in Windsor-Essex and allows every member the freedom to fully participate.

With support like this, we can continue to provide meaningful, accessible, and enriching experiences for each member.
